Individual Session, Retreats & Workshops Cancellation Policy
Last updated: June 5, 2020
What should I do if I can’t attend an Individual Session, Retreat or Workshop?
. Sometimes things come up, if you need to cancel or re-schedule your appointment, 24-hours notice is required. We have a firm 24-hour cancellation policy, if you cancel your session in less than 24-hours you will need to pay the full fee of the session.
Retreat or Workshop
. In the event, you have to cancel you can apply for a refund. It is essential that you provide adequate notice to the organizers. The time required for a refund from a cancellation varies depending on what the event is. If it is for a retreat, this 14-days prior; or if it is an in-person or online presentation, workshop, or meetup then it is 8-days.
What amount of funds can be refunded?
Retreat or Workshop only
. We have strict guidelines for cancellation if you require a refund. The amount of time expended in setting up for our events forms a significant part of the work, therefore you must adhere to providing adequate notice. There is much behind the scenes work done preparing to run both our workshops and retreats. This includes pre-purchasing of materials, booking venues, and food catering. Therefore we don’t generally offer full refunds because a portion of the funds will have been already spent.
Please note, there is no guarantee for a refund, but each request is examined on its merit. The more notification time you provide will help to support your application. With the workshops we do allow for a transfer of your booking to another workshop time when possible, but this is always at the discretion of the organizer.
Cancellation by the organiser
Should the organizer cancel the event, an arrangement for a full refund is automatically made. In circumstances where only a postponement of the workshop or retreat is to happen, the student may elect to have their fee transferred to the new date, or they may request a refund.
As access to course materials is provided on payment of your course, regrettably no refunds will be made for online courses. You will have access to the full course after payment of the registration, or in staggered intervals during the running of the course. All online content will remain available for the life of the course.
Generally, where a course is no longer offered this is deemed the finish of the life of the course. Course material will remain available online and in some cases in print for a stated period of time. This may vary from course to course, but usually students will continue to have access into the future.
What should you do if you can’t attend an event?
For retreat events
Should you be unable to attend a retreat, you can elect a substitute of another person to take your place.
To obtain a full refund an application must be made in writing (email) more than 14 days before the scheduled event, minus any processing charges. Regrettably, no refunds are available after that time. If however the retreat is cancelled or postponed by the organisers, a full refund or transfer to another event of equal value will be made.
Face-to-face Workshops and courses
Should you be unable to attend a workshop, you can elect a substitute of another person to take your place. A full refund, minus any processing charges, will be made for cancellation by a student if made in writing (email) more than 8 days before the event. Regrettably, no refunds will be made after that time.
In circumstances where this event has to be cancelled or postponed by the organizer, a full refund will be made to the student. If the student prefers they may elect to have their payment transferred to the next equivalent workshop.
