My Approach

My Approach

Therapy with me is a space where you can slow down, tune in, and reconnect with yourself, gently and at your own pace.

It’s about creating a safe, steady relationship where you can begin to feel more grounded, more whole, and more like yourself again.

Many of the women I work with are sensitive, empathic, and emotionally overwhelmed. They’ve spent years putting others first, managing emotions alone, or feeling like they had to hold it all together. Often, they come to therapy not because they lack insight, but because something still feels stuck, heavy, or unresolved.

A Present-Focused, Relational Process

My work is grounded in Gestalt therapy, a present-focused and experiential approach that helps us explore how you relate to yourself, others, and the world around you. We bring awareness to your thoughts, emotions, body sensations, and behaviours in the here and now.

Through this, you start to notice patterns that may be shaping your experience.

Rather than analysing from a distance, we explore what’s alive in the moment. The therapeutic relationship itself becomes a space where healing begins, not just by talking about things, but by experiencing something different. You get to experiment with new ways of relating, new ways of expressing yourself, and new ways of feeling safe in connection.

Working with the Body

I also work somatically, meaning we include the body in the process. Many of the women I work with have learned to stay in their heads, strategising, overthinking, trying to stay in control. But healing often requires us to come back into the body, where old patterns are held and new awareness can emerge.

We might track sensations, explore your nervous system responses, or notice how your body holds tension or emotion. This helps you build regulation skills and reconnect with your inner cues. Over time, you learn how to feel safe in your body again, and how to listen to what it’s trying to tell you.

Creative and Experiential Tools

Depending on your needs and comfort level, I also draw on sensorimotor art therapy, guided visualisation, and other creative approaches that allow us to explore your inner world in ways that aren’t purely verbal. These practices are especially helpful when emotions feel too big or too difficult to name.

Creativity in therapy isn’t about performance, it’s about opening space for self-expression, play, and insight. These gentle experiments can often bypass self-protection and lead to deeper connection with your true self.

What you can expect

Therapy with me is gentle, grounded, and collaborative. You won’t be pushed into anything before you’re ready. We move at a pace that respects your nervous system and your story.

You can expect:

  • A calm, safe space where you’re fully accepted just as you are
  • A therapist who is attuned to your emotional rhythm and needs
  • Deep respect for your lived experience, your boundaries, and your pace
  • A blend of relational, somatic, and creative methods tailored to you
  • A slow, meaningful process of integrating lost parts of yourself and building inner safety

This is not a quick-fix approach. But over time, you’ll start to feel more connected to yourself, more able to stay present with your emotions, and more confident in how you show up in your life and relationships.

If you’re ready to explore this work together, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.
